The villa was built in 1881, was beautifully restored and offers the charm of a private house of the turn of the century.

The delightful, beautiful Patrician villa was bought by Petra and Fritz Lay in 1978 and then had been transformed into a hotel. In 1989, the restaurant "Prinz Frederik" opened its doors to the public and has become one of the gourmet hot spots in town.

Mr and Mrs. Lay were inspired during their long-term stays in England and France to create a "home away from home". For this reason, all rooms are arranged individually and offer peace, luxury, and an immediate "comfort feeling".
