Quick description

Home to the Lord Mayor of Dublin in 1844, this town house is an elegant Georgian building with a homely atmosphere and an excellent standard of comfort and value. We are a 10-minute walk from St. Stephens Green, Grafton Street shopping district, Trinity College, The National Gallery, The National Museum and Government Buildings and all the major tourist attractions. We are surrounded by many of Ireland's famous Georgian buildings, traditional Irish bars and some of the finest eating establishments Dublin has to offer. Our friendly staff are only more than happy to suggest their favourites to you. We have brought warmth and a homely touch to this town house, which, while offering the most modern decor, retains the traditional feel of a stylish private residence.

A continental breakfast is available from 07:00. The menu includes: - Home-made brown bread / toast. - Tea or herbal tea. - Freshly brewed coffee. - Fresh fruit salad / grapefruit. - Selection of yoghurt. - Orange juice, grapefruit juice and cranberry juice. - Choice of cereals. - Fruit bowl. A full Irish breakfast is available from 08:00. The menu includes bacon, pork sausage, hash brown, tomato, beans and eggs (fried, poached, scrambled or boiled). Vegetarians are catered for on request and all foods are freshly prepared on the premises. Last seating time for breakfast is 09:30.

Area information

The National Library, National Gallery, National Museum, Leinster House and Government Buildings, and Leeson Street are 4 to 5 minutes walking distance away. Nearby businesses include the Bank of Ireland Head Office, IDA, IBEC, FAS and CPA. Trinity College Dublin (Book of Kells) and St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre are 10 minutes walking distance away. Dublin Gaiety Theatre, Dublin city centre, Dart Station and Luas South Bound are also 10 minutes walking distance away. Temple Bar and O'Connell Street are 20 minutes walking distance away. Christchurch Cathedral and Dublin Castle are 25 minutes walking distance away. Dublin City Tour ‘Hop On, Hop Off’ bus has a bus stop located on Merrion Square, a 5-minute walk away.

Travel information

By Plane:
Travelling from the airport, we would recommend that you take an AirCoach bus to Marion Square and then walk for 4 to 5 minutes.

Another option is to take the regular bus number 41, 41B, 16A or 747 to Lower O'Connell Street and than bus number 10 to Lower Baggot Street. Get off to the Old Convent stop before Baggot Bridge. We are opposite the bus stop at number 92.

Important information

Please note that parking is only available from 18:00 to 08:00 during the week and all-day Saturday and Sunday. The reception is open from 07:00 to 22:00. An airport collection service and late check-in is possible for guests arriving in Dublin after 22:00. The Baggot Court Townhouse asks that you inform them in advance if you will be requiring either an airport collection or late check-in or both.
