Ravenstone Ravenstone Hotel was originally a family country house and was converted into a Ravenstone Hotel in 1950. The Ravenstone Hotel is now run by Andrew and Debra Binns.
The attractive original building has been tastefully extended and still retains many of the beautiful original features of the Victorian house. The Ravenstone Hotel now offers comfortable en suite rooms and lounge and leisure facilities.
The Ravenstone Hotel prides itself on its reputation for hospitality and a warm welcome.
Painting courses are also on offer at the hotel.

All of the hotel’s 19 comfortable and luxurious rooms are unique and individually designed. Each room is attractively decorated with quality fabrics, soft mattresses and crisp bed linens. The quiet rooms offer a peaceful haven for a restorative break and each room is well-equipped, with all the comforts and facilities you need in a restful, relaxing base. All of the rooms have an en suite bathroom with soft-touch towels and luxurious soaps.
Thanks to the natural beauty of the hotel’s setting, most of the rooms offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Guests can watch all of the region’s wildlife, including Ospreys (which nest nearby), from the comfort of the hotel, with the breathtaking natural beauty of the Lake District as a backdrop. Many of the rooms even have views of the lake itself and its ever-changing surroundings.

The Ravenstone Ravenstone Hotel is a great base from which to explore the northern parts of the Lake District and the southern lakes are just a short distance further away. There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding region and a number of great places to visit, including Keswick and Borrowdale.
William Wordsworth's birthplace is open to visitors and is just a short distance away in neighbouring Cockermouth. The Ravenstone Hotel also offers easy access to Carlisle and guests can visit the castle or the museum or enjoy a day at the races.
Alternatively, you may prefer to explore the region surrounding the Ravenstone Hotel and all of its stunning natural beauty by bike or on foot. There are plenty of great walks and mountain bike trails in the area immediately surrounding the Ravenstone Hotel and with Skiddaw, the 3rd highest mountain in the area as the hotel’s back garden, you will not have to walk far for a challenge.

- Exit the M6 motorway at junction 40 and follow the A66 west towards Keswick for 27.5 km.
- At the roundabout at the bottom of the hill, take the 3rd exit onto the A591. The is approximately 4 miles from the roundabout, on the right-hand side.

- At the mini-roundabout at Tithebarn Street, follow the A591 North.
- Turn right just before the catholic church, continuing on the A591.
- Go straight across at the large roundabout. The is approximately 4 miles from the roundabout, on the right-hand side.
