By the water, situated on a small island, you will find Stegeborgs old castle which was one of the most important strongholds in Sweden in the middle ages, as well also a royal palace for several kings and queens. Now the castle is a fine memory of what once was.
Adjacent to the old castle is the popular summer inn, Stegeborgs Hamnkrog. Hamnkrogen offers an à la carte menu and has special nights were a spectacular wild boar buffet and shrimp buffet is offered.
The peninsula offers excellent fishing grounds where pike, pike-perch, Baltic herring and even salmon flourish in the tranquil waters.
Close to the hotel is our popular landing strip were you can land your own airplane if you are travelling by air. We also have a marina with a guest harbour when arriving by the water.
