Beautifully situated along the Langerei, Ter Duinen offers an authentic ambiance. You can leave your car here (in the front or in a garage) and you can discover the town on foot. All rooms have private facilities, tv, radio, tel, AIRCO. If you are looking for a very special stay at a very charming, romantic place, then Ter Duinen is the place to be. It's a typical old building, restaured with lots of respect fot the past. Open already 23 years, it still looks brand new. And the Ter Duinen has become very famous in the mean time for its royal breakfasts ! A well-known travelagent once said : "At Ter Duinen, they simply serve the best breakfasts I have ever tasted' In the morning we serve a superb (!!) buffet breakfast (one will never forget) in a very airy breakfast room with conservatory. There is also a small patio (garden) to enjoy coffee or tea in the afternoon. You are welcome ! Hotel information Ter Duinen is a small family-run hotel. The Bossu-Van Den Heuvels started the Ter Duinen in 1983 and have been restoring a lot to create this jewel along the Langerei, one of Bruges' most beautiful canals. It still looks new with a lot of charm. There are 20 rooms, with all facilities. The wonderful breakfast are served in the very cosy breakfast room. There is also a charming lounge/bar overlooking a small patio. During the hot days, rooms can be cooled too (air conditioning)! Free internet service to check your E-mails (also wireless access to the internet). The Ter Duinen has an elevator. And there is plenty of parking available: right in front of the hotel. It is free but limited in time. Also private garages can be rent (more practical of course). This is a place where you always will return ! Ter Duinen non-smoking. Room information All rooms are a bit different ... Some have a beautiful view on the canal, others on the patio. Some rooms are bigger, others smaller. They all have private bathroom(bath or shower, wc), hairdryer, tv, radio, telephone, alarm clock, central heating and airco (for the hot days), wireless access to the internet . A few rooms are on the ground floor (overlooking a small passageway). All the others are on upper floors but we do have an elevator ! Food & beverage Ter Duinen serves an excellent breakfast. Mr & Mrs Bossu-Van Den Heuvel go to the local market themselves where they make a nice selection of fruits, according to the season. The buffet needs a lot of preparing because we make fresh orange juice (we squeeze the oranges ourselves - no containers). The fresh fruit salad is made the morning itself. And meats and cheeses are sliced just shortly before breakfast starts. And of course the boiled egg is cooked as you like it. As we serve such a nice breakfast, guests don't eat a great deal at noon. We have no restaurant. There is a lounge/bar where it's possible to drink something. And we also have a patio where during summer one could enjoy a tea or coffee. Ter Duinen non-smoking. Area information Ter Duinen Ter Duinen is not situated on the Market Square itself. Fortunately. It's a bit hidden, away from the busy tourist area, a discovery for most clients. In fact, this is the kind of place tourists are looking for nowadays. It's a ten minutes' walk to the Market but as soon as you leave the Ter Duinen you walk along a beautiful canal. There is also a very good bus connection (stop next to hotel) which brings you every 10 minutes to the centre or to the station. From the Ter Duinen it's easy to go elsewhere. Damme (small medieval town) is 5km away, the coast is 20km, Gent 50km, .... Travel information BY CAR..One can easily reach the Langerei via the ringroad. On the ringroad there are different entrances and you need to enter via DAMPOORT to reach us easily (North-Northwestern part of the town). PARKING right in front of (as all over the town limited in time>>>use of blue parking-disc). We also have private garages (12Euro/N). BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT...When you arrive at the station here in Brugge you can take a taxi or a bus to come to us. Bus 4 or 14 stops right in front of (only 1 Euro pp). Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged EUR 16.00 per night and person for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 30.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet: Wireless internet is available in the Ter Duinen rooms and is free of charge. Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. Parking: Private parking is possible at a location nearby (reservation is needed) and costs EUR 12.50 per day. Pets: Pets are not allowed. The Ter Duinen reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.
